3. Estimates and Contracts

• Estimates: Budget information provided free of charge is non-binding.
• Contracts: A signed contract is required before work begins. The contract will outline the scope, schedule, materials, costs and payment terms.
• Change Orders: Any modifications to the original scope of work must be documented in a change order and may result in additional costs or timeline adjustments.

4. Payment Terms

• A deposit is required to secure the project and schedule.
• Progress payments will be outlined in the contract based on project milestones.
• Final payment is due upon project completion and after a final walkthrough.

Failure to make payments as agreed may result in delays or suspension of work.

5. Project Timelines

While we strive to complete projects on time, unforeseen circumstances such as supply chain issues, weather, or changes to the project scope may cause delays. We will communicate any delays promptly and work to minimize their impact.

6. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

• Providing access to the property as agreed in the project timeline.
• Disclosing any known issues (e.g., structural, electrical, or plumbing) that may impact the project.
• Removing or securing personal belongings from work areas before the start of the project.

7. Warranties

We stand behind the quality of our work and offer a 3 year warranty on workmanship. Manufacturer warranties may apply to materials and products through the manufacturer. Warranty claims on workmanship must be submitted in writing.

8. Liability

• Nate’s Custom Renovations is not liable for delays or damages caused by circumstances beyond our control, including weather, natural disasters, or pre-existing conditions.
• We are not responsible for damages to areas outside the work zone unless caused by our negligence.

9. Insurance

We carry general liability and workers’ compensation insurance to protect both our team and your property. Proof of insurance is available upon request.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate the contract in writing. Termination fees may apply to cover costs incurred up to the date of cancellation, including materials, labor, and administrative fees.
