Steps & Service You Can Expect
STEP 1 : DREAMING & PLANNING
- Listen to what you like and don’t like about your current home.
- Listen to your goals, needs, and desires.
- Discuss how our “9-Point Promise” helps to make your project a simple and enjoyable experience.
- Talk about different possibilities.
- Discuss your desired budget and investment comfort zone.
STEP 2 : DISCOVERY PHASE
At our second meeting, we will:
- Review anticipated project investment/cost range for the project.
- Take photos and measurements of the space.
- Complete a field sketch and gather more detailed measurements.
- Review and execute Design Agreement.
- Required fee for Design Agreement is 3% of low end of the estimated budget or minimum of $1000.
STEP 3 : REVIEW YOUR DESIGNS
At our third meeting, we will:
- Review the floor plans, 3D perspectives, and alternatives we have created for you, and make corrections/revisions.
- Review any impacts these changes might make on estimated cost.
- Schedule a meeting to review revised design, if necessary.
(Note: The initial Design Agreement includes up to three revised design concepts.)
At our fourth meeting, we will:
- Review prepared proposal based on approved design.
- Review and execute Letter of Intent.
Letter of Intent is to hold your place in our schedule until we complete the Construction Agreement.
(Required fee for Letter of Intent is 10% of proposal.)
SERVICE YOU CAN EXPECT
STEP 4 : YOUR STYLE & MATERIAL SELECTION
A meeting is set-up with our in-house Design Consultant:
- See the space and review the project.
- Discuss your design and find your style.
- Gather inspirational photos.
- If needed, Mood boards are created to assist honing in on your style and bringing in “the feel” of the new space.
- Set-up meetings in-home or at showroom.
- Assistance in the following selections: Color palette, Flooring, Lighting, Tile, Countertop, Backsplash, Plumbing Fixtures, Hardware, Cabinetry, Complete Material Boards.
STEP 5 : FINALIZING YOUR PLANS
At our fifth meeting, we will:
- Review and execute the Construction Agreement, which allows us to start the next phase of your project.
- Review selections.
- Review final plans.
- Review final pricing.
- Review final Job Scope.
STEP 6 : PRE-CONSTRUCTION
Before we start construction, we will:
- Introduce you to your Project Manager and review the project on-site.
- Prepare construction packet.
- Apply for building permit if needed.
- Prepare construction schedule that we will use to complete your project in a timely manner.
- Ask a series of questions regarding general “housekeeping” issues to ensure your safety and security during construction.
- Answer any questions you may have before we begin.
STEP 7 : CONSTRUCTION
During construction, we will:
- Update you on changes to the schedule.
- Update you on work that is being performed.
- Meet with you to address any concerns and questions that may arise during construction.
- Update you on any changes that may require cost increases or credits due to changes in scope of work.
(Note: We will not make any major changes until you have approved and signed a written Change Order)
FINAL STEP : POST – CONSTRUCTION
After construction work is completed, we will:
- Deliver your warranty and information packet.
- Walk you through the operation of your new fixtures or appliances.
- Contact you after six months to see how you are enjoying the work we performed for you and see if there is anything we need to adjust.

At our first meeting we will have the opportunity to “get to know one another.” I want to listen to your needs, desires and expectations and I want you to feel comfortable in asking me questions as well.
We give you a solid start and finish date for your renovation. We make sure that all materials are ordered well in advance of the project start date, so we don’t have any down time waiting for items to arrive – everything is already there.
3% of estimated cost ($1000 minimum) is the deposit.
If you decide to move forward with us on your Lincoln home remodeling project, we will apply the cost of the design retainer towards your final invoice.
