Basement Finishing Costs in Lincoln NE

The Dollars & Cents

We know what a giant undertaking any remodeling project can be.  That’s why we won’t prescribe “quick-fixes” or use shoddy building materials for our Lincoln renovation and remodeling projects.  Getting it right takes time. It’s just that simple.  We wouldn’t have it any other way.

Pricing can vary greatly on a project-by-project basis, largely depending on your budget and the finish materials chosen.  During our initial discussion, we’ll tell you what ideas will work and what won’t.

Take a look at the figures below to gain a better feel of what some of our lower and higher-end projects cost.  Remember, these are merely cost estimates based on past work we’ve completed. Every Lincoln renovation or remodeling project is unique, and so are their relative costs.

Per 1000 Sq. Ft. Build-out

Add On: 3/4 Bath (8′ x 5′)

If a wet bar or bathroom are desired, make sure to add the build-out costs to the bath & bar.

Design, labor & materials are included in the cost estimates above.  Adding egress windows or upstairs smoke detectors NOT included.

Build-Out: Assumes open layout, including: framing, insulation, switches, outlets, can lights, HVAC ventilation, drywall, taping, doors, trim, painting and carpet. The more walls and upgraded trim details the higher the price per sqft goes up.  NOTE: When the size gets smaller than 1000 square feet the price per sqft goes up slightly.

¾” Bath: Assumes an 8’ x 5’ bathroom including a vanity, toilet and shower.  Whether the drains are pre-roughed & the level of cabinetry, countertops, fixtures and tile will indicate the final price.

Wet Bar: Wet Bars are very hard to estimate until a final design is established. A Basic-Level Beverage Center consists of 7’-8’ of cabinetry and countertops.  A Mid-Level Wet Bar includes the same as the basic-level except it adds an island or peninsula section for bar stools.  A High-Level wet bar is a more customized space for parties including multiple appliances and high end finishes.

What If I Want to Add a Room Addition, or Do a Whole House Remodel?

Doing a large remodel project can be a pretty big decision to make, but it can be the best way to get exactly the home you want.  It’s tough to estimate the cost of your room addition or whole house remodel with so many factors to consider.  Depending on square footage, building materials, and personal preferences, we may need some help from an architect or engineer.  Give us a call to discuss your Lincoln renovation and remodeling project and approximate budget.
